Summer has
invaded the Netherlands and after more than a year in Maastricht I have learned
the lesson. Do as Dutch do, so if the weather is nice just stop whatever you
do or have to do and enjoy it. You never know what you’ll have in the next few
hours so better to take advantage of it.
This long
weekend is being more than a great present. We have really high temperatures
and any clouds ahead. With such a beautiful weather you just want to be outside
for a picnic, cycling, sitting in a terrace or kayaking, as we did last
Saturday.
Thosrten organised
an excellent day in Durbuy (Belgium). We went kayaking, we had a bit of sighting of the
medieval town and the icing on the cake was the ice-cream at the end of the
afternoon. Really an excellent plan!
Note: I’m
writing this post lying in the park (Stadspark) trying not to think that
temperatures will drop to 12 ºC next Wednesday ;-(
